長い一日

今日は長い一日だった〜・・・。午前中に行われた予選は、開始直後にクラッシュがあり、ガードレールを破損してしまった為に予選のセッションは中止。本来２時にレースをする予定が急遽スケジュール変更で２時に予選を行い、５時からのレース。

It turned out to be a long day today. The qualifying session started at 11am but it a crash brought a red flag situation and the session ended up getting cancelled due to a broken guard rail. However, they made some changes to the schedules, and the race time was changed to a qualifying session at 2pm and the race was postponed to 5pm.

自分がコーチするドライバーはいまいちリズムを掴めず、予選は１８位。決勝でポジションアップに期待・・・と思っていたらレース直前に大雨！？！大パニックでレースはウェットでスタートしたものの、途中で路面が乾き始めたのでレース中断しドライタイヤに変更！？！色々とあってとりあえずレースは１４位でゴール・・・。明日はもっと頑張ってもらわないと！！いや〜しかし本当に長い一日だった。

My driver didn't get the best run in qualifying and ended up 18th, We had a lot of catch up to do during the race and I was looking forward to the race. 5min before the race, it started to rain heavily and it started as a wet race. Half way in to the race, the sun came out and the track was drying so they stopped the race and made us all change to slick tires. Than the race restarted and was finally over by 6pm. My driver finished 14th...obviously not what we expected but we all had a good fun day so we just have to hope for a better finish tomorrow!!
