San Antonio (TX) Karen Wagner High School small forward Kevin McCullar has trimmed his list to a top five and announced his official visit schedule.
The 247Sports Composite four-star prospect holds 13 reported scholarship offers but has narrowed his focus to Kansas State, Texas Tech, Louisville, Houston, and Virginia Tech.
The No. 69 overall recruit in America will begin taking his official visits next month.
According to his tweet, McCullar will visit Kansas State on June 10-12, followed by a trip to Texas Tech on June 13-15. After a few days off, McCullar will hit the road to visit Louisville on June 18-21 followed by Houston on June 21-23. He will cap off his official visit schedule with a trip to Virginia Tech on June 27-29.
Virginia Tech extended an offer to McCullar in April.
According to the 247Sports Crystal Ball, Texas Tech holds the advantage in his recruitment with 100-percent of the predictions.
Virginia Tech currently holds no commitments in the 2019 class after previously holding three pledges. The Hokies secured early verbal commitments from Oak Hill Academy center B.J. Mack, along with three-star point guard Kobe Langley and his twin brother Keyshaun. All three prospects decommitted from Buzz Williams and Virginia Tech in December.
In 2018, Virginia Tech signed the No. 45 ranked class in America which included Top 100 prospect Landers Nolley.
According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, McCullar is listed as the nation’s No. 20 small forward and the No. 7 overall recruit in Texas for the 2019 recruiting cycle.
